The Magic of Yin

Yin Yoga is a slow, grounding practice that invites you to turn inward, soften your edges, and reconnect with yourself. Rooted in ancient wisdom, using the Taoist philosophy and inspired by Traditional Chinese Medicine, it works gently with the body’s deeper layers - our fascia, joints, and energy pathways known as meridians.

In this practice, postures are held for several minutes, giving time for the body to release habitual tension and for the mind to rest in stillness. You’ll be supported by props, invited to find your own unique shape, and encouraged to stay present with whatever sensations arise - without judgement or the need to change them.

Rather than striving or achieving, Yin is about allowing. It's a practice of being, not doing. In the stillness, we open space for reflection, emotional balance, and the natural flow of energy - Chi - to return.

Yin Yoga is both deeply physical and subtly transformative. A quiet pause in a noisy world, it offers a gentle path back to balance, connection, and the essence of who you are.

Meet your guide into stillness

Welcome beautiful souls, my name is Serina, but people often call me Sunshine.

From a young age, I’ve been drawn to the world of healing—exploring Chinese medicine, yoga, spirituality and other holistic practices. What began as curiosity became a deep passion for self-discovery and supporting others on their journeys. After moving through personal trauma, I found something unique in Yin Yoga: a space to slow down, listen inward, and gently release what I had carried for years. It became a soft and powerful medicine that transformed me from the inside out.

That’s why I feel so called to share this practice. My classes are more than postures—they’re intuitive, healing journeys. Influenced by both Eastern and Western approaches, and shaped by my training in India and Bali, I honour each student’s unique energy and needs through a trauma-informed lens.

I often use my voice and storytelling as part of the experience, creating emotional depth and resonance. Each class is guided by the energy in the room, and my little dog Bailey sometimes joins us too—offering his own quiet, loving presence.

Born in Australia to Italian parents, I grew up with a rich mix of traditions that shaped my open heart and curious spirit. I now live in London, where I’m grateful to hold space for others in this busy city, offering Yin Yoga as a soft landing place to come home to yourself.

Whether you’re new to Yin or returning to it, if you’re someone who finds comfort in voice, stillness, and emotional connection, you’ll feel right at home here. I look forward to meeting you and sharing this beautiful practice with you.

Yin with Serina

Each class is a gentle invitation to return to yourself.

We work with functional alignment, meaning postures are adapted to suit your body—not the other way around. It’s not about how it looks, but how it feels. You’re always encouraged to listen inward and shape the practice around your own needs and sensations.

Classes are guided by the wisdom of the Five Taoist Elements, weaving together mindfulness, meditation, intuitive movement, and the quiet power of stillness. You may experience gentle vocals - sometimes even soft singing - and the nurturing art of touch, offered through a light massage with essential oils.

And if you’re lucky, you’ll meet Bailey, my gentle little dog and occasional assistant. Animals carry a quiet, healing energy and often sense what words cannot. His calm presence adds another layer to the space we co-create. One of warmth, care, and connection (plus, who doesn’t love a little puppy love?).

Whether you're here to release, to feel, or simply to pause - you're welcome, just as you are.
